Tichawa Vision’s new VUCIS product family supports 16 illumination geometries and 10 illumination colors
Tichawa Vision introduced a new product family the V(ARI) U(niversal) CIS (VUCIS) earlier this year. The VUCIS, which is available in lengths up to 1820mm, can be supplied with a choice of 16 different illumination geometries and 10 different illumination colors. The VUCIS is the further development of the proven VTCIS technology, but in addition to the many illumination variants, it can also be equipped with 8 different optics with both long and short focal lengths. CameraLink and GigE are currently possible as interfaces to the PC. 10GigE and CoaxPress interfaces are also planned. The figure shows all 16 illumination variants at a glance.
With this, one can cover countless application possibilities with a single CIS product, such as Bright Field for matte objects, Dark Field for embossed objects, Cloudy Day for the suppression of surface structures, Coaxial Light for shiny surfaces, Reflection for glass or metal, Transmitted Light for transparent materials, Polarized Light to see tensions in glass, UV for fluorescent objects, Shape from Shading for the display of 3D structures (see also blog post from 01.03.2022) and much more. In terms of design, there is little change compared to the predecessor VTCIS. The CIS remains slim and easy to mount.
